Although bittersweet, we’re happy to see the clean-up process begin in Lahaina Town. The road ahead is long and we have no idea when rebuilding might begin, but we know there are many more months of clean-up to go. During this time, the area is closed, but the areas surrounding Lahaina are open and welcoming visitors and residents. Please come into West Maui with aloha.

Activities
While Lahaina Harbor was destroyed in the fire, there are boats offering snorkeling, diving, and whale watching going out of the Mala Ramp (north of Lahaina Town and just outside the restricted zone), Kaanapali Beach, and of course, Maalaea Harbor. There are kayak tours and surf lessons on the beaches South of Lahaina. Ziplines are open in Kaanapali and Kapalua. Our island is open and looking to serve visitors (or residents venturing to the West Side). The Sunday market is in full swing in the Ace parking lot and Old Lahaina Luau is back this week! Please come and enjoy what West Maui has to offer.
